Teenage student is stabbed in the chest area during a fight at Jurupa Hills High School
The Fontana School Police Department reported that a 16-year-old student was stabbed in the chest during a fight at Jurupa Hills High School on Thursday.

A 16-year-old student was stabbed in the chest area during a fight on the Jurupa Hills High School campus on Thursday morning, according to the Fontana Unified School District Police Department.
The victim sustained a 3-inch laceration with a 2.5-inch depth wound, police said. The laceration was near the victim's heart and the victim required surgery at a local hospital.
The incident began at 11:22 a.m., when a fight broke out on campus and a Fontana School Police officer responded to the fight. After reporting that the student had been stabbed, the officer located a suspect and took him into custody.
Additional Fontana School Police officers responded to the school to assist with crowd control and interviews. No other persons were involved, police said.
