I don't know of any real "allies" or get alongs between most varrios down here
i mean, yeah there's people that know people from another neighborhood and get together or party here and there, but i wouldn't call it a varrio get-along.
just the other day i ran into two crazy vatos at the liquor store, and before they hit me up, i hit them up (in a friendly way) where you vatos from?
the first vato says he's from SD, and i'm like, well everyone around is from San Diego, but where you from?
the vato says i'm from San Ysidro., so i say orale, Big SIDRO
then the other vato says he's from Shell Town
and i say, from Gamma?
he say's, nah, from 38
i give them a torch for their frajos y ya stubo

now here i'm looking at two vatos from two completely different zones of the city
one from southeast, one from the south bay / south side
now i know both varrios really have no real treaty or get along status
these are just two old locos getting wacked out and rolling together
nothing more than that

so that's how it rollls down here in DAGO, fas as i ever understood it
but of course, you could have some little off and on "tolerating" going on
or maybe even some clique taking under their wings some other fools kinda of politics
but that's different., that's come and go stuff
it ain't the norm

each well-established varrio stands on its own down here

 shit is different these days., don't nobody cling to old historical beefs, except old  recruits., other than that, everybody goes every which way., it ain't the same like old., nothing really makes much sense anymore other that who you personally and your road dogs have beef with, 'cause it ain't really much of a varrio versus varrio beef anymore.. yeah there's still some of that old left over this varrio don't get along with that varrio thing, but it ain't crazy like the old days., now is more on a personal level as to who gets along with who, IMO

market street is the perfect example., you go over there and you don't really see them around, but if you do, they're more likely smoking a toke on the porch  with someone who lives there from another hood., so que paso?

everyone be hanging out in MARKET's varrio lately., you find gente from all diff hoods over there now., even the Loganeros be over there chugging on them cervezas., it's a trip because you find them Shermans in Logans hood, and then you find Logan's in Market's hood., WTF? .. It's all wack these days!
