Doing some research and was wondering what it was like for y'all in IE high schools... what did your schools do to get rid of gangs.

throw us in the principals office, and beat our asses.

They didn't do nothing but suspend us, kick us out, arrest us, or send us to the office. Might get a "counseling" session or secondary program for "troubled youth" if they gave a damn in the least bit of way. But no REAL support to stay out/away from gangs. I feel like the schools are just as responsible as the communities and families are of "troubled youth" to shape up the youngsters in an area. But when you have the blind leading the blind and an outside force that doesn't give a damn what happens in that area, no problems get solved so nothing changes but the time, and with that comes more hardships for many families in those environments.
