i always wondered why republicans hate on mexicans tho. they share most of the moral principles as they do. hyper religious and anti government. they really missed the bus on that one.

Because  the modern political paradigm of "Left" and "Right" make no sense and each "philosophy" is filled with contradictictions.

Xenophobia would be a good word to describe it, but still the fact remains that Republican brand of conservatism is full of contradictions. The average joe who votes doesn't stop to question the overall philosophy they keep supporting. 

For example, someone who really supports the free market and is against government interference in markets would be in full support of immigrants coming into the country to work as they please, because it is just the free flow of labour. The market or people need to decide where they can sell their labor and services, not the government. Yet right wingers want to cry about immigrants " stealing" jobs which is a bogus concept. You can't steal a job. Employment is an arrangement between two parties that both agreed on a price or contract. Just because somebody offered a better services or price doesn't mean they stole anything.
