MONTCLAIR - A 7-year-old girl along with three males were shot in an apartment complex Friday night.
Police responded to reports of a shooting in the 4200 block of Kingsley Boulevard at 7:33 p.m., authorities said.

When police and firefighters arrived, they found three gunshot victims, said Montclair Fire Capt. Rich Baldwin. One of the four victims - possibly the young girl - was taken to the hospital by a private vehicle.

Two of the victims were found inside an apartment, while a third was found lying on the ground outside the apartment, he said.

"One patient was shot twice in the abdomen, once in the chest and once in the foot," Baldwin said.

A second victim was shot two times in the buttox and one of his legs and the third was shot in the abdomen.

Montclair police Chief Keith Jones said the young girl, "was just an innocent bystander."

The girl is expected to survive her injuries, Jones said.

Jones said the shooting is possibly gang-related.

Witnesses told police that a group of men were gathered inside an apartment complex at the base of some stairs when two suspects dressed in black-hooded sweatshirts walked up and shot them, Jones said.

He was unsure if the suspects and victims said anything to each other prior to the shots being fired.

The suspects are described only as two male Hispanics.

Anyone with information on this incident is asked to call the Montclair Police Department at (909) 621-4771. Crimes can also be reported

Montclair shooting Empty JULY 15 2014

MONTCLAIR >> With a crack and a hiss, a man opened up a can of Foster’s Lager, took a sip, and passed it to the man next to him. One by one, each took a sip. The last person to drink walked up to a small wooden cross stuck in the ground and poured out the rest of the drink on the woodchips. One man rubbed his eyes furiously as tears began to stream out.
“He was a good person,” one of the men said Tuesday. “Someone shot and killed our cousin. He was a really cool person who grew up here all his life.”

San Bernardino County coroner’s officials identified the shooting victim as Joe L. Cisneros-Carrillo, a 23-year-old resident of Montclair.
Montclair police are investigating the killing as the first homicide in the city this year.
In the past five years, the city has only seen eight homicides, and in the past 10 years the city has seen 27 homicides.
“The new chief, (Michael deMoet, who started last year,) established a community relations division, and I think it’s contributed to the reduction in crime,” said Brian Ventura, a spokesman for Montclair Police Department.

But on Tuesday, multiple gunshots rang out shortly after 3 a.m. near the corner Exeter Avenue and San Bernardino Street.
A woman who lives at Briarwood Manor, just across the street from where the shooting occurred, said she heard the gunshots and called police.
Officers found Cisneros-Carrillo near some bushes suffering from multiple gunshot wounds to the upper torso, police said in a press release. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
During the investigation, detectives learned a red or burgundy two-door sports car was seen leaving the scene at a high rate of speed immediately after the shooting, authorities said. Police are seeking the driver of the car as a person of interest in the slaying.
