I cant really speak on "active" hoods being that active in 2008 is not the same active of 1988. The differences are slim and none. Being at least somewhat visible, some wall banging from time to time, active wars etc.. Thats what I consider "ACTIVE" at least for these days standards go. I don't expect to see HEAVY corner hanging/visibility in most hoods to all hoods.

I GOT THOSE VARRIOS FROM A HOMIE LIKE YOU I ONLY SEE HALF ON THE LIST AS "ACTIVE" BUT UPLANDS VARRIOS ARE OLD AND FAMILY THIGHT...AS FOR HOW ACTIVE THEY ARE ALOT OF YOUNGSTERS HAVE GAVE NEW LIFE TO ULO,UGT,9thst, AND SSU...AS FAR AS WHERE THERE HOODS ARE MOST ARE OFF GROVE AND 8th AN 9th STREET AND I LIVED OFF 9th AND 13th STREET IS PREETY HOT OVER THERE WITH ULO GOING AT IT WITH SSU AN UGT AS WELL AS NAW GANG AND DOGxPATCH AND HAVE A LONG HISTORY WITH CUCA KINGS, THERES TAGGBANGERS EVERYWHERE HIT UP ALL OVER THE PLACE...WHEN I LIVED THERE IT SEEMD LIKE MOST OF UPLAND PD WAS IN THAT LITTLE AREA...SO FROM THE OUT SIDE UPLAND LOOKS LIKE A NICE PLACE TO LIVE BUT THAT CHANGES WHEN YOU HIT DOWNTOWN AND GET IN TO THERE LONG GOING BEEFS.

AS FOR INLAND EMPIRE OUTLAWS I HAVE SEEN THEM HIT UP IN CHINO,ONTERIO,CUCA, AND ALL OVER THE WEST END BUT I DONT KNOW WHERE THERE VARRIOS AT...AND I HAVE HEARD OF EVS BUT I THOUGHT THEY DIED OUT WHEN SBCG13 DID.

Yeah, that whole little area see's it's little share of activity. All that between 7th and 9th, benson and mountain. I think there's 5 sets of apartments right there. Even on the otherside of mountain, behind the home depo, that little area (those apartments) had/has it's hot spots. Even up on 11th, in those apartments, and the ones next door to walmart, off benson. There's a few spots. Old spots.

I've only seen a couple of ULO hitups these past couple of months, but i'm CONSTANTLY seeing Dog Patch hitups. I've seen a ULO hitup just outside of DP's hood, which was way out of bounds. Aside from DP's regular hitups (on their sidewalks, stop signs, polls, etc...) they usually hitup on 9th, grove, and arrow pretty big.

YEA DxP HOOD IS ALWAYS TAGGED UP SOME TIMES I SEE DxP CROSS OVER TO ULO SIDE AND HIT UP IN THERE HOOD TOO.

I knew quite a few homies from 9th St., but most of them are around my age.

Back in 78'-79 ULO/UGT was active. You didn't want drive down Campus at night.

YEA I WAS LIVING IN UGT VARRIO FOR A FEW MONTHS HERE & THERE IT GETS SOME WHAT ACTIVE THERE FOR UPLAND THEY GOT THERE LITTLE WARS POPING OFF ALL THE TIME WITH DxP...MOSTLY TAGGER CREWS OFF 9th NOW WITH ALOT OF OUTSIDERS (POMONA/LA) IN AND OUT OF THAT AREA.

It seems alot has changed with the emergence of Tagging Crews. They're everywhere in the U.S. now.

ALOT OF THESE TAGGER CREWS ARE LIKE A START UP TO BANGING WITH ALOT OF VARRIO RECRUIT WHOLE CREWS INTO THERE HOOD...THEN THERES THE CREWS WHO BECOME VARRIOS CLAIMING THE 13...THERES A HAND FULL IN THE IxE THAT REALLY DO GET DOWN AND GOT HISTORY IN BANGING BUT FOR THE MOST PART TAGGING CREWS COEXIST WITH THE VARRIOS WATCHING THERE STEP BUT ALOT ARE STARTING TO BANG ON RESPECTED GANGS TO EARN A REP. CREWS LIKE D2D,OCP,CSU,NFR,D4W,PARK ST,D-BLOCK/D ST, AND YGW/ES ONTERIO IN ONTA ARE KNOW TO KICK UP DUST WITH OVS AND OTHER VARRIOS ON THE WEST-END.

yeah i know a grip load of fools from all of these krews dicer mentioned and they are all around 16-20 years old and alot of them got a bit of gang mentality and i heard krews in new york are a bit different out here they don't really in that tagbanging shit they only care about getting up out here in southern cali there is way to much pressure from others thats why krews try to act like gangs and things get a bit violent and alot of these youngsters get into a varrio
