18-year-old dies from shooting

An 18-year-old man died early Saturday at a local hospital after being shot Friday night in Moreno Valley, according to a Riverside County Sheriff's Department news release.

Oscar Orona of Moreno Valley was pronounced dead at Riverside County Regional Medical Center in Moreno Valley at 4:08 a.m., according to a coroner's news release.

Moreno Valley police investigators interviewed witnesses and subsequently arrested Renee Michelle Bird, 18, and Argenis Christopher Hernandez, 21, both of Moreno Valley, at their residences, the release stated.

The suspects were booked on suspicion of murder at the Robert Presley Detention Center in Riverside.

The incident was reported at 8:33 p.m. after several 911 calls reporting someone had been shot in front of a residence in the 15000 block of Patricia Street in Moreno Valley.
