Re: Hood Legends
just who da fuck do u call a hood legend?
someone who got busted?
or someone who all them fools out there didn't know any better and paid homenage to !?
hell !!!
i'm a hood legend at that
everybody from my neck of the woods and from my times knows me...
and if i was to put my self up on facepage, people would recognize me
and if i was to tell my story with my real name, people would uphold me
but i don't ., so i leave it alone
let some 90's people criticize me
let some so called tuff people down me
but i know
so who or what is really called a hood legend?
those that got busted?
or those that are still going?
those that allied themselves with drugs and all ~ even government forces?
either ones, neither are adept in putting "words" together
henceforth., neither one is "educated" enough to tell the true "historical" story
.. all it is, is dumb mothafuccers locced up not knowing any better..
.. all they are is locked up fools caught up in the rat race..
but never ever thinking any better!!!

What's A Hood Legend
While I understand where you coming from, the truth of the matter is the youngsters need to know the history of what they are involved in for one reason. Â So they can see exactly what you are saying. Â The things they aspire to accomplish right now are the same things many, many others have pursued to no avail in past years. Â Without question street life is a dead end, it seems so promising when you are young but in the end it leaves nothing but regrets and sorrow. Â It doesn't matter who you are or what your reputation is, you end up trapped in a fog of fear and paranoia "if you are lucky," serving out a life term or dead buried and long forgotten. Â Even those whose names survive a generation or two ultimately end up being defined by the crimes and mistakes they committed not for their dreams or passions or who or what they could have been. Â Personally I've grown weary of the news accounts detailing the fall of the children of friends of mine who get caught up. Â This a tragedy of immense proportions and no one wants to see it end. Â This is a cottage industry for the politicians, law enforcement officials and community figures around town. Â If not for the crimes of these kids, the citizenry might actually take note of the pilfered funds. Â They might demand a re-allocation of the tax dollars that have gone into new vehicles, equipment and increased manpower for the local law enforcement agencies. Â Perhaps a few might even realize that the true problem with the city is those interlopers who make a living off the misery others who head off to the sanctuary of some other community and complain about there continued failure to solve these problems. Â So to answer your question the true hood legends are those who live long enough to realize the mistakes they've made and take active and aggressive steps to prevent someone else from falling into the pit of despair that has claimed so many others before.
