Kev is here, on our site still, no? I know he came for the I.E. gang maps we had when he was working on his california gang map joint, which is cool. He should shoot a few invites our way. About the hood legends thing, hey, to each his own if that type of title means something to him/them. Not really a badge of honor if you ask me, unless you brought peace, knowledge and "positivity" to the hood, but all is well. Aint no love lost...
Re: Hood Legends
LOL....
Yeah, that was a different Kev. That other Kev didn't know, and didn't want to know anything about IE. Him and AllHood revolved around L.A. city and the cities that border it mainly, nothing else seemed to exist for them.

Re: Hood Legends
KEV MAC stays attached to the immediate area surrounding south central and that's about it., the other attachments would be something like the lott, the fence, and the rebel boys, but that's it.
Re: Hood Legends
I think I saw them do a story on a SD hood ONCE, in one of their magazine issues, but nothing else other than that.
Re: Hood Legends
But what makes y'all think that wasn't the same Kev though? "Our" Kev just came for the gang maps. Something not out of thought for the "other kev" who does gang maps too. Our Kev didnt do nothing, or say nothing besides get our info and bounce... (showing zero interest in anything I.E.) could've been him. ?? But anyway, yeah... them other sites is L.A. based and that's cool, but this is I.E.!!! All that other shit been said and done a thousand times over.
Re: Hood Legends
Just didn't look like his style of writing. I used to post on allhood years ago since their first forum. I'd maybe still be there had I didn't get banned ( on accident I was told).
To be fair though, nobody reputable from any IE hood has ever joined their forum and tried to break down their hood history in detail, so we can't expect them to cover a topic they know nothing about.
We have the same problem here as well, even though we had successfully compiled a lot of good info and historical stuff on IE on this forum throughout the years, people from IE don't like speaking on their hood to outsiders , they don't like cameras or interviews much, and like to stay low key . It's like taboo to out info out there. At least that has been my experience with people here. But maybe it's not so bad.

Re: Hood Legends
Not wanting to speak to outsiders is understandable from a street point of view, considering ridicule, speculation, incrimination, misinformation, being uncomfortable, etc.. and it was for that reason that i basically have been feeling like (from the jump)... "if you aren't living here or from here, then you have no need to be here" type of mentality. But that's just me. I know people roll through for general southern california cultural history purposes and family ties, etc.. so it is what it is with that. That's cool. But when you got fools riding though not from here, no family here, out of state, never lived here, don't live here, etc.. i can't comprehend that and prefer that removed.
In all honesty, I don't/didn't even want the L.A. county sections in here because all that conversation is over exposed already on just about ALL gang websites. If somebody wanted to mention it here in a random topic, cool, because that's conversation, but i personally don't like nothing but I.E. here... it aint got to be all serious all the time, or active at all times, but it should definitely remain and stay focused and I.E. at all times. Everything else is irrelevant, lol.

Re: Hood Legends
well you know for me is different., i'd like to hear and find out the history of places from all over., having lived all over, i always ran into pretty much the same loco style everywhere., yeah there's differences, and everywhere you go people have their pride and that's cool., the way i look at it, we would not be anything alone by ourselves unless we had each other representing in each town, city or area code., so we're all alike, yet we all have our own thing to represent., places change too, like i was back in north east but a few weeks ago, and man the population and attitudes have changed so much in just a few years., it don't even seem like one's town any more in some ways., but hey, that's where you grew up in, right? so that's what's in your heart, and that's what one like to believe they represent., but like i said, having lived in several southland places over the many years of my life, yeah, i'd like to learn and know what's it all about where i was living at., not to mention the family's raised or landed there., know what i'm saying? To me, it ain't all about gangsters and mobs, but it' all about the people and their trip !!!CaliforniaRepublic wrote:Not wanting to speak to outsiders is understandable from a street point of view, considering ridicule, speculation, incrimination, misinformation, being uncomfortable, etc.. and it was for that reason that i basically have been feeling like (from the jump)...
