A dead body was found in a field in southwestern Fontana, according to the Fontana Police Department.

On March 12 at 5:51 p.m., officers investigated the area of Live Oak and Jurupa avenues and discovered a transient camp.

The body of an adult male, which was badly decomposed, was found inside a tent. The body had possibly been there for several months, according to the San Bernardino County Sheriff Coroner's Division. The unknown subject has not yet been identified.
