A Fontana teenager was shot in the leg during an incident at a park on July 18, according to the Fontana Police Department.

At about 5 p.m., officers responded to Live Oak Park, located at 14180 Live Oak, regarding several people hearing gunshots in the area. The officers located several people running away from the location. They found that one of the subjects, an 18-year-old Fontana resident, had been shot in the leg.

Officers are continuing their investigation into this case and believe it is possibly gang related. There is no one in custody at this time and no further information regarding the victim's injuries, police said.
