Man is shot to death in Fontana 8-25-11

man was shot to death in Fontana in the early morning hours on Thursday, according to the San Bernardino County Sheriff's Department.

At about 2:45 a.m., deputies from the Sheriff's Department Fontana Station received a call of shots fired with a man down on Valley Boulevard near Hemlock Avenue in the southwestern unincorporated county area of Fontana.

When the deputies arrived, they found a white male adult with a gunshot wound to the body. The unidentified victim was pronounced dead at the scene.

No other information about the victim was immediately available.

The Sheriff's Department Homicide Detail is conducting the investigation.
