Fontana gang shooting 1 dead

FONTANA -- Police are investigating a Sunday night shooting that resulted in the death of a Fontana teen.
Police found Reyes Prieto, 17, of Fontana in the 17100 block of Fern Street about 9:25 p.m. with a gunshot wound to the stomach, according to the San Bernardino County coroner's website.
Prieto was pronounced dead at a hospital.
"Three young men were walking down Fern Street when they got into an argument with three other men in front of a house over gang affiliation," police spokesman Doug Imhof said.
"One of the three men in front of the house pulled out a gun and shot at the boys walking down the street."
Prieto was the only one to be hit, Imhof added. He suffered a single bullet wound.
A Fontana police SWAT team raided the home Monday morning where the shots originated but made no arrests

Any idea where dude was from? It happened over in the Walnut Villages.

That's interesting. Don't know what Mexican gangs hang out in Walnut Village these days. Used to be North Fontana 13 but now? who knows. CWP13 and maybe TCS are the only cliques I know that hang on this side of town.

The police are tryin hard not to let out info about what gangs/crews are causing trouble. You never hear about what gangs are involved in these press releases. I bet that we find out what happened before the day ends tho.

That's why I like the SGV tribune, they tell exactly what gangs are involved and explain which hoods have been going at it. In the IE, they hide the actual names.

UPDATE: Fontana teen is shot to death; authorities seek public's help in identifying the suspect

A 17-year-old Fontana boy was shot to death on July 7, according to the San Bernardino County Sheriff Coroner's Division.

The victim, Reyes Prieto, and two of his friends were walking in the 17100 block of Fern Street at 9:20 p.m. when the suspect, who was in the front yard of a residence, asked them where they were from.

A discussion about gang affiliation ensued and shots were fired at the three males who were walking, according to the Fontana Police Department.

Prieto was struck at least once by gunfire. He was transported to Arrowhead Regional Medical Center, where he was pronounced deceased at 10:46 p.m., the Coroner’s Division said.

Fontana P.D. detectives are following leads regarding the suspect. No description of the suspect was available.

That nigga will not get caught if he's smart. Not only do they not give a description but u don't even know where cuz is from. If I was him I would be long outta Fontana and switched my whole image up already.

Yeah I was thinking about that today. I looked up that address and it was a newer neighborhood. Sounds like some heads hanging out in one yard and 3 more kids walked by which sparked a confrontation. Whoever did the shooting could have just jumped in the car and got away fast on the 210 which is just up the street.

Reyes was claiming CWP. As for TCS SIK, they have been tagging up by oleander and on miller near cypress. I've seen some fresh hit ups. I know CWP and TCS don't like each other and I've also seen where CWP crossed out TMF on this side of town. Btw, that RIP REY graffiti is up on oleander and baseline.
