Not surprised. It's just interesting to see it so clearly.

If you did your 23andme, like I told you, you would be able to find out if you came from there or Europe first. According to my DNA, I never came to the Americas. My brother's DNA is widespread, as is my son's and my Mom's. My blood line is also around 50,000 years old.

What do you mean by came from there or Europe first? How does that work ? Because I always assumed our DNA is a mixture of all our parents and all their ancestors? So  couldnt my DNA be a mixture of both?

Nooo.

Okay, I'll break it down. As a male, you have an XY chromosome. Women are XX.

You get a little from your Dad and from your Mom. However, as a woman, I carry a cell from all of my female ancestors. So my DNA will/can vary totally from my brother's or son's because I carry all my foremother's DNA in me. Now, your Mom passed on her ancestral DNA that only went to you. It isn't as cut and dry as you're making it.

Okay, so what your DNA will reveal is how your ancestors came to be in America. Did they come from Europe or from Eurasia to South America. My Mom's boyfriend is Mexican. His family has been in California for generations. He did it and his ancestors came from India and went to Peru. He's actually Peruvian, mostly, but ancient Peruvian. Mexican is not an ethnicity, it's a country and nationality.

Does that help a little?

A little confusing.
I know most of my ancestors came from Spain..
I always knew my moms side was from Spain but recently found out my dads side too, however we definetely have some Indigenous blood in us or I'd have blond hair like half my cousins but yet I dont..

You keep assuming that. Spain, like Mexico, is just a country. It would be Iberian, which is that region, but while it was under Islamic domination. So no, you wouldn't be a Spaniard, you would be Iberian. Maybe, you may not have gotten any of that DNA. My brother has American Indian blood and I have none.
