FBI agents in Phoenix, Ariz.today arrested a fugitive charged with murder in a 2007 San Bernardino slaying, officials said.

Paul Dancy
Paul Dancy, 27, was found at an apartment in Glendale, Ariz., a suburb of Phoenix, and arrested at about 4 p.m. without incident, said San Bernardino police Detective John Vasek.

Members of the FBI's Inland Regional Apprehension Team -- which Vasek belongs to -- had received information Dancy was in the area and passed the tip to federal agents in Phoenix.

The suspect had been at large since Aug. 2, 2007, when he's accused of fatally shooting Darrin Troy Parris, a 41-year-old San Bernardino resident. Parris was slain in broad daylight while driving his car in the 1200 block of North Mount Vernon Avenue, on the city's Westside.

Another car pulled alongside Parris' white Buick and opened fire. It was San Bernardino's 38th homicide of 2007 -- the 30th police classified as a murder.

Detectives suspect the slaying was prompted by an ongoing argument between Parris, Dancy and his brother.

Dancy was charged the next day with murder, attempted murder, shooting at an occupied vehicle and possession of a firearm by a felon. He is expected to be booked into an Arizona jail, where he will await extradition proceedings.

Roughly 48 hours passed from the time of the tip about Dancy's whereabouts to the arrest, Vasek said. He credited FBI Special Agent Mark Enyeart in Riverside, who works with the task force called IRAT, and Special Agent Robert Caldwell, who leads Phoenix's fugitive task force, for helping the case come together.

"The ease this all took place is all because the relationship between IRAT, San Bernardino police and the FBI," Vasek said.

Youngster thought Tillie Man pulled a gun on his mother, at least that's what she told him and his brother... No matter he's looking at a gang of time over a situation that he didn't have all the facts on.
