two movies about the white house being attacked....

There's no real conspiracy theories about this, that i know of, but i just thought it was weird, especailly with all the controversy surrounding movies and attacks lately, i.e. dark knight and gangster squad.

Yea I noticed that too. This, to me, is hollywood state propaganda. There's is so much distrust in the establishment these days compared to previous decades, and the propagandists seem to be in overdrive mode. I'm biased but I interpret this as some kind of message of "omfg our great leader and sacred temples, oh I mean governmental buildings are under attack! This is the worst thing ever, our worst nightmare, we cannot survive without our sacred buildings and wise overlords, but....don't worry, our WISE , BRAVE overlords will triumph against all odds."
lol Alright I haven't seen the movie but that's the message I get from the clips.

I've been noticing this a lot as well. There's also that movie "War-Z" which has an "apocalyptic" theme involving the USA.

i dont know bout what cray was ranting about...lol i just think there would be alot more theories floating around involving "brain control" and "triggers" in movies, and also to kytes comment, thres a zillion apocalypse movies and they pretty much all involve the u.s.

Its simple. The US empire is increasingly becoming more and more unpopular around the world and its legitamcy is being questioned now, more than ever. These kind of movies are partically about trying to reinforce the idea of the US empire and regime as being indispensable. While probably (like in most of these movies) making the wise president/politician out to be brave and the leader of humanity. I'm talking about the subtle conditioning of the people to believe there is nothing more important to our civilization than the white house and the Empire, at a time when people like me are growing in number.

i havent seen olympus has fallen, but i think its just some special ops guy that saves the world. and in the next one from what i can see its the same thing, nothing bout a leader of humanity. if anything, olympus has fallin is more like a prop. film to heighten fear of no. korea, and in the second one, it starts with a qoute that makes it seem like the threat was from within. but the comment about you ranting was a joke anyways... still tho, seems like your superimposing your views on the movies..lol

either way, my theory was more of a sandy hook/aurora shooting one. like i bet sometime this year someone is gonna get busted trying to shoot up or at the white house and and thats gonna be the last straw for a total gun control law or someshit.

I was thinking exactly the same thing this morning as I watched Bomber push for Gun control. Apparently, recent polls have revealed that public interest and support for gun control is waning. It appears that even in the wake of all the "mass shootings" from last year, and the Sandy Hook event itself, weren't enough to sway the general public into readily accepting a mass gun-grab.

Hell, they've failed to manage simply getting a majority to accept stricter gun-laws, even. I won't at all be surprised if a similar, but larger scale event, occurs sometime in the near future that becomes the final driving force for total gun control. Actually, I'm expecting that.

These type of events are likely to increase in number and magnitude. 2011, and especially 2012, were just a preview of this, imo.

I couldn't agree more with this. There is definitely a subtle conditioning process going on, the same conditioning that's been going on for years. Though it really does seem like a new "no-holds barred" approach is being taken with this recent onslaught of propaganda.

These films are designed to alter perception and psychologically manipulate the subconscious mind. These tactics are highly effective. One only needs to observe the common American to verify this.

I don't disagree with your theory as I think these kind of films push multiple underlying messages at once. Some more subtle than others. My comment about the "great leader of humanity" was just an exaggeration and wasn't meant as an exact description of any particular movie, just that there are subtle messages like that throughout movies like this but they aren't that obvious. Government's have long understood the value of using film propaganda to push messages and condition people since the film/videos were invented.
