Three die in violent weekend
THREE men are dead and two seriously injured after an explosion of bank holiday violence on the streets of Glasgow.
Two of the deaths took place after Rangers clinched the league title.
But police today said only one of the incidents - a stabbing in Barrowfield Street in the East End - appears to have been related to the football.
The violence started in the early hours of Sunday when a teenager suffered multiple stab wounds at a house in Drakemuir Drive, Castlemilk.
The 17-year-old boy was found at around 3am and was pronounced dead at the scene. http://images.newsquest.co.uk/image.php?id=1102830&type=full
Yesterday afternoon the violence continued with a murder at Auchenreoch Avenue, Dumbarton.
Robert Currie, 20, of the town's Castlegreen Street was rushed to Royal Alexandra Hospital in Paisley following the incident at 2.55pm but died from his injuries.
Detective Inspector Alan Graham, the officer in charge of the inquiry, said: "The circumstances of the disturbance in the flat are still not clear."
At 5.15pm yesterday a 22-year-old man died after a fight broke out in Forge Street, Royston. He was taken to Glasgow Royal Infirmary but died.
Police are treating all three as murder.
In a separate incident a 37-year-old man was treated for serious injuries at Glasgow Royal Infirmary following a fight in at 3.20am in Barrowfield Street, near Celtic Park - the only incident the police say was related to football.
Meanwhile inquiries are continuing as a man was in a "serious" condition in the Western Infirmary after being found in Scaraway Terrace, Milton on Saturday night.

Re: Three die in violent weekend
I saw a news report that in the UK they been selling clothes that are supposed to be slash proof so that if someone tries slashing you it won't go through the thick clothes. LoL. But its obviously not stab proof.
