POMONA - A 20-year-old Pomona man was killed in a drive-by shooting late Wednesday.

Kevin Castillo was pronounced dead at Pomona Valley Hospital Medical Center shortly after friends drove him there, police said.

Police received a call about the shooting at 10:11 p.m. in the 1600 block of Manor Circle. Castillo had already left by the time officers arrived.

Officers discovered that Castillo and several friends were in front of a home when a dark vehicle approached and someone in the vehicle fired several rounds at the group as the vehicle passed by.
