Shooting outside Arroyo High

SAN BERNARDINO - An 18-year-old San Bernardino man and two male juveniles, 15 and 16, and also from San Bernardino, were arrested early Tuesday morning on suspicion of murder in connection with the shooting death of a 15-year-old Rialto boy on Monday, police said.
Anthony Dewayne Mitchell, 15, of Rialto became the fifth fatal shooting victim in the city this year when he was shot and killed around 2:50 p.m. in the 1100 block of North Wilson Street.

Officers found Mitchell in the street with several gunshot wounds, said Lt. Paul Williams. Mitchell was taken to Arrowhead Regional Medical Center in Colton, where he was pronounced dead about 30 minutes later.

,A disagreement after school near the Arroyo Valley High School campus led to the shooting , police said early Tuesday morning.

Numerous gunshots were fired during the incident but no one else was injured, said Williams.

Mitchell was not a student at the high school, Williams said.

Police did not say if the victim knew the three suspects.

An investigation led to the identification and arrest of the three suspects.

Search warrants were executed at three locations in San Bernardino that resulted in the recovery of a weapon possibly involved in the shooting

Lemonta Markuis Maddox, 18, was booked on suspicion of murder at the West Valley Detention Center in Rancho Cucamonga. The two boys also were booked on suspicion of murder at juvenile hall in San Bernardino.

Mitchell's death was the fifth shooting death in the city this year.

Gabriel Moraga, 27, of San Bernardino was shot Jan. 18 at an apartment complex at 2122 W. Chestnut Ave. and died six days later.

Steven Guzman, 15, was shot Jan. 27 as he and a group of people walked in the 1500 block of Belle Avenue. He died the next day.

On Feb. 1, Roberto Elizarraraz Jr., 19, of Highland and Angel Xavier Perez, 22, of Redlands were found shot to death in the 1400 block of North Sepulveda Avenue, about 1,000 feet from where Steven was gunned down

What neighborhood is this?

It's right outside Arroyo High school on the outskirts of the IE Projects hood.

Is there a Mexican neighborhood there or close by, seems like a lot of Latino activity going on as of late.

you got SCO, LCG, CSL all in the surrounding area CSL being the closest to the school. Plus a mix of out of town gang members goin to school there.

This shooting involved blacc kids tho none of which I understand went to Arroyo. I'm hearing the boy who got killed is from HSC.

They were on Wilson they was in the Projects West Side and the part they were in isn't the latino side they across medical center but Dstrm gotta it right with the surrounding latino hoods but really the only latino hood close to that area is the CSL's

do any CSL's get into it with the NS Rito hoods? i mean since they are kind of close... the only thing seperating them is that long wash/river thing by base line.

NS Rialto is nowhere near CSL's. The wash you're talking about connects the w/s with the East side of Rialto technically. The north side of Rialto isn't right there. If anything you got topo city hood and Manor boys that connect to rialto by way of wash more than CSL's.

pretty much them is all black hoods that would fit what you're talking about. The w/s verdugo sets with the exception of CSL's hood is pretty much on the east side of Mt. Vernon strip and the Black hoods control the area west of Mt. Vernon. But the CSL's hood is on both the east and west of Mt. Vernon strip. But as far as the wash the only hoods bordering the wash would be topo city, pj's, 5x's, Manor Boys, and California Gardens.

I just talked to someone who goes to the school according to him he knew all involved and he said the kid who was killed was from Little Zions and the guys who are arrested for the murder are from The Gardens can anyone else substantiate this?
