Do you believe in self ownership? Do we own our own body? Or should someone else have a higher claim on you?

In Scriptures It Says That The Body Is Our Temple.!! Which God Is With Us When "We" Tat Ourselves Up, Harm Ourselves, And Other Stuff Were Destroying his Temple. Sadlly Even I am At Fault Here.!! Love Your Body Eshe.!!!

From a purely Biblical perspective; Yes, I believe so. But not that someone should, but rather that someone does.

1 Corinthians 6:17-20

17 But he who is joined to the Lord is one spirit with Him.

18 Flee sexual immorality. Every sin that a man does is outside the body, but he who commits sexual immorality sins against his own body. 19 Or do you not know that your body is the temple of the Holy Spirit who is in you, whom you have from God, and you are not your own? 20 For you were bought at a price; therefore glorify God in your body and in your spirit, which are God’s.

1 Corinthians 3:16

16 Do you not know that you are the temple of God and that the Spirit of God dwells in you?

It applies to those IN the faith specifically. Those who have accepted Jesus Christ as their Lord and savior and have received the Holy Spirit (God's Spirit).

We Are All Men Here So Im Pretty sure We Aint All Crying For Being fat LOl.!!

But That Mostly Goes FOr Women That Aint Satisfied With They Body.!!

So does someone else own you? Someone being a flesh and blood human being, maybe your mother, father, kids, your boss, the president of the US ?

And although I see the God explanation as more of a faith based one, lets say God is the owner of every human, which would still mean that no other person has a higher claim on our bodies, that no other human being can be our rightful owner. Right?
