Forums dead but I need somewhere to rant.

Racial tensions have never been this high in my lifetime.

This country has gone mad. I see it as the signs of a declining empire where the good times of money printing, government debt financed spending and democratic statism is finally taking its toll in the worst way possible as different "tribes" through identity politics fight amongst each other to grab the remaining power and become victorious over their political/tribal rivals.

Something very evil is in the air. That may sound strange but that's my best description .

The rise of the cultural Marxist social justice warrior Left wing and their attacks against whites and white males has given rise now to an equally radical and hateful group of people on the Right.

People are now being attacked in the streets for their political beliefs, both verbally and physically. Calls for socialism, fascism, monarchy, are far more common now.

Lots of craziness on the Internet, but those people posting are real people.

Yea.

Same over here in Europe. Tensions are running high. So far its mostly just verbal tensions, but a lot of people agree that the aggressions on both sides are at an alltime high. Fascinating that this seems to be a worldwide trend.
Im afraid bad shit is going to happen.

I'm worried about the fallout to this election.

I'm having a very hard time knowing which candidate would be worse for the country.

It seems as if Hillary wins, not only does that give more political power to the establishment and threatens just overall bad policies being passed threatening freedom plus more warmongering, it may only help to intensify the backlash from the small but growing authoritarians on the Right.

If Trump wins, I wouldn't be surprised if we see even more riots and chaos coming from the Left. It just looks all bad.

Sentenza, what are your thoughts on the refugee crisis? We hear a lot about it here, curious what someone living that has to say.

I think you guys are between a rock and a hard place. Trump is an absolute moronic dipshit and Clinton is corrupt and 100% establishment.
Good luck with that...

I heard you hear a lot of crazy stuff over there, like horror stories and so on.
It was a very messy situation with about 1 million people on the move at the same time last year.
I dont mind people fleeing their country and i dont mind helping them, my family were refugees themselves during WW2 and the communist era. But Merkel shouldnt just have opened the borders without knowing who is coming there. And they should be sent back once the war is over.
Apparently ISIS has sent about 90+ terrorists among the refugees to commit terror attacks likethe one in Paris and a few criminal organizations used the chaos of the situation to sneak in a few of their guys to commit crimes in western europe. Like serbian, romanian or georgian burglary rings etc.
So there has been an increase in property crimes and pick-pocketing recently and many people are pissed off about that.
But, its mostly peaceful and there are no riots or something. I heard that some people overe there talk like its a civil war here...nope. As far as germany is concerned, the country is torn. About half the people want to help refugees and the other half doesnt want them i would say. Also rightwing parties have had a lot more success in the latest elections.
People are becoming more and more aggressive verbally and on the social networks. We will see where this ends.

Not that they say it's a civil war but they do talk about it as a civil war that is bound to happen over in Europe.

I understand wanting to help people but sounds a bit crazy to just let thousands of people just come in like that. Why should the burden be on any particular country to open up like that?

On social media and forums I'm seeing more of fascist awakening going on. Like an extreme reaction to all the Left wing lunatics we've been dealing with for several years.
People are understandably fed up with the bullying tactics of Left wingers and  Social Justice Warriors, but now, more people are turning to the dark side. Instead of fighting back on a moral high ground, they're going full right wing fascist. It's like the cool "edgy" thing to do now. Whereas 5 to 10 years ago it was cool and "edgy" be to a Leftist.

And when the authoritarian Left and the authoritarian Right clobber each other, it's a lose -lose situation for anyone that loves peace and freedom.

TRump and Clinton both represent the two sides.

I dont think that there is a civil war ahead of us. Yes it was crazy for Merkel to just let hundreds of thousands of unregistered people cross the border. Germany has a law that binds us to provide shelter to people who are persecuted on grounds of religion, ethnicitiy or political opinion. This law was drafted in 1949 based on our own political experience. We had Nazi, Communist, murderous genocidal governments, so people said this should never happen again and we should learn our lesson. But now a lot of people who dont come from countries in which there is war or religious persecution abuse this law. And they pretend that they are from Syria or Iraq and are being persecuted by ISIS, while they are from Algeria, Morocco or Tunisia etc. And its difficult to differentiate between different types of arabs. Its possible, but it takes time. Its like trying to figure out what state each mexican is originally from. Its possible, judging by accent, cultural habbits and so on, but it takes time. So a lot of people abuse this law, even though it was meant well in the first place.
Even i am not satisfied with the way our government handles this situation and i am not generally against refugees.

Concerning the social media "war", its the same here. Shit is crazy. I am what you would call a cultural marxist (even though i believe in capitalism, so i am not a economical marxist), i agree with this 100%.

I am also against authoritarian movements. But a lot people here seem to think that having a strong government will be the solution for all problems. The new up and coming right wing is fiercely pro-putin and anti-american, because America is equaled with multiculturalism.

Yeah I guess that's the main concern people have, is wether or not all the people coming in can be properly vetted.

I guess it depends on how you define cultural Marxism. I use it as a term to describe an ideology that believes all cultures are equal or the same. Which I don't think it true as I believe some cultures are more destructive than others.

Yes, people put more power and faith into the State when they become fearful. It's tragic, and you'd think we would learn our lesson from history.

Here, the rise of Trump has intensified the scapegoated of mostly Mexican immigrants.

There's a lot of bad economic and financial problems going on beneath the surface in America, and regular people feel it. But regular people don't understand the root causes, so they look to blame somebody, some group or person.

The Left blames racism, the "1%" the rich, white males etc for everything that is wrong and the Right wing is blaming immigrants and free trade.

In my opinion, all of this is mostly incorrect, with some grains of truth. And the more we fight amongst each other, the more power politicians grab.

I am a cultural marxist in the sense that i dont believe in race. Its a social construct, scientifically it doesnt exist and in my experience neither.
Now when it comes to different cultures, yea there are constructive and destructive ones. But its not so much about the symbols and traditions of a culture, but wether it is able to include critical and reflected thinking. Dogmas and authoritarian thoughts are poison.
I dont blame the 1% rich for my failures, nor the immigrants or blacks or muslims. Everything i do is my responsibility, no one is to blame for it.

Looks like Clinton is going to win, right?

What do you think, will there be some lunatics going crazy after the elections? Doesnt matter from what side, it seems like there are people ready to go off any second on both sides.

I think the election is working the crazies into a frenzy. Either way.

Everyone is In shock.

The media has assured us  for months and weeks on end that Hillary would win in a landslide.  Anyone believing otherwise was crazy. The polls showed her ahead almost the entire time. What a blow this is to whatever little bit of credibility these fraudsters had left. I honestly started to believe the polls myself. Incredible.
