UPDATE: Man is shot in the head, another man is injured during incident in southwestern Fontana

One man was shot in the head and another man suffered multiple stab wounds to the upper torso during an incident at a house in southwestern Fontana on the morning of Monday, Jan. 16, according to the Fontana Police Department.

The two injured persons, who are both in their 20s and members of the same family, were transported to Arrowhead Regional Medical Center and were listed in serious condition, police said.

The incident took place at 11:47 a.m., when shots were fired in the 14200 block of Hillcrest Drive in Southridge, according to Fontana Police Sgt. Kevin Goltara.
Three people were at the home in the residential neighborhood when the crimes occurred, and the third person was not injured, Goltara said. Investigators said the incident may be gang related.
