Most hoods today have alittle history such as this one you linked. Minorities had they little area, which was typically small, always called "a city within a city" and/or such like words, and then there was the larger white community surrounding this such area. It's how alot of hoods got started. Unfortunately, alot of these hoods that started on good intentions (sticking together as a community, fighting the oppressor, lol, etc...) fell victom to following a more negative path, for lack of a better word, and turned on eachother, culturally. It's not really too cool, but it is what it is....

Nice oldschool pictures and a good article to go along with it homie. Do you have the whole article? The paper mentioned something about Corona having 15 gangs at the time the article was written, I'm guessing most of those are CVLS?

15 GANGS N 150-200 GANG MEMBERS IN THE CITY, SO IM GUESSIN ALOT OF THOSE GANGS ARE CLICKS OF 4th STREET?

The number of members has quadrubled, and the number of gangs, that has to be reference the clicks. There is only one gang in Corona and thats CVL, with 4th st, scarlets,visioneros,castigadores being the original clicks.

I got a homie who did some county time recently and he said CVL by far is the deepest varrio in the Riverside County system. I remember back in 2000 they were deep as well. I dont know if it has to do with the Corona jura craking down on these vatos or if there numbers are just up there but normaly that means a varrio is deep if there are many of your homies locked up.

Im meant CVL 4th st the varrio, with the other mentioned clicks or gangs. Now reference Castigadores being the original i was told by some vato ill keep nameless that they were the oldest still active.

Thats what I think most the older IE varrios are or were like. Instead of clicks, theirs the varrio, then within it, theirs the gangs. I made a topic about it.

yea,,see and where 4st park is now that was the varrio,it was just a dirt field full of homies kicking back...and now its a park.
