Re: lil zion manor
The LZ's used to be and still is one of the worst spots in SB period. One of the wildest, Hands down. Back in the day, that little spot on 19th and the Dorjils and up to that gas station on California was a warzone. Niggas was dying damn near every day over there. Or every other. Literally....no extras or exaggerations on that.
The LZ niggas is with the business.

Re: lil zion manor
Shit, just even like 3/4 years ago, when i used to be out that way everyday, it was always something going down right there. Police lines, blocking the streets, fools found in, and behind, trash dumpsters and shit. Everytime i turned around, somebody got smoked and or beat down on, or off, california street. I could only imagine how it must have been in the 90's/ 80's even...
Re: lil zion manor
Yeah, the LZ's and dorjils is with it. Grimey to say the least. Then its still the 18's, CG's, and DH which all claim along California. Now that I look back, when I was still out there I would rarely go to the gas station over there even though it was just down the street. If you was banging or affiliated it was to risky.
Re: lil zion manor
Since I can remember California St was one of them streets I was always told to aviod. It always had a bad rep in the area and any street near by it. Everywhere was bad but theirs certain streets that were just wild
Re: lil zion manor
"Muscott" aka Medical Center was another one from back in the day. ALOT of lives lost all up and down. But then it was still Mt.vernon, Baseline etc...The Westside has its share of 'em. But, California was real treacherous.
Westside streets to avoid
As Ryd pointed out Muscott and California was places not to get caught up on. Either California at Baseline or California at Highland Ave. You also had Colorado in the Gardens, 28th and Flores in the Heights. Simply because everybody knew these was focal points in the Gardens and the Heights and if you had the courage to cross into the hoods you could score a gang of points wit a strike there. You also had 10th Street in the Projects as well as Vine Down in Carverdale, Johnson Hall at 9th Street and the backside of the moon where Pennsylvania used to come down past Bucks place at the end of 9th. Wasn't nothin but dirt roads at that point and more than a few bodies got dumped down there in the wash. That's the area where they found Whitey from the projects tied to a chair filled with holes. You had Macey and State Streets on the Darkside and Jackson in Rialto. God help you if you was on Jackson because everybody associated that wit Hoover and the Hoovers wasn't gettin no love. 2nd and Meridian was another hotspot if it was on with the 5s. That little Park down there in the Flats was a hot area because of the presence they kept there as well as being black standin out in front of Valley College could get you sweated. The Ruben Hernandez Center aka the Plunge on 5th just below Topo City. You could get caught up in an Eme meeting on the wrong day and the ese's when they under the influence of the Eme is the equivalent of Nazi's for a brotha. SCO hood you got to look out when around 14th Street park. If it ain't a little league game its on.

Re: lil zion manor
Since we on the subject, another spot was Western. Up and down from Baseline to 9th just outside the Projects, was a hot spot back in the late 80's. Real hot from what I can recall. 7th Street and Mt.vernon in the early to mid 90's. All the way down to the 215 dead end. Bad, real bad place for a brotha at the time.
Re: lil zion manor
Used to live on 19th back in 01-02, right next door to the LZ's in the trailer park, it was an EVERYDAY FUCKIN THING. I remember when I was living there, I was 12-13 and I saw a group of black guys jump the ice cream man lol, they straight knocked him out and ran off with his money n ice cream, I remember there was a field around the trailer park, a lot of homeless people there, I remember all the gun fights, people hoping over our wall into our yard and hidding, I remember it very well, I lived on Arrowhead (in between Top Gang Crips & some blood gang? forget the name) that place was bad, I lived on Dwight way with DWG x3, even lived in Rialto in the Willow/Winchester projects, out of all those places, I gotta say 19th was the worst place to be, its dangerous, I doubt its changed since I've lived there.

The Dorjils aren't a gang, they was a clicc of the Zions. Never had to many people reppin it like that either. To be honest I haven't heard anybody even mention the dorjils n a long time, especially since they changed the name to the Serenay's.
