San Bernardino County Sheriff's deputies are investigating a stabbing that hospitalized one man Saturday evening.

Deputies and Rancho Cucamonga firefighters responded at 7:55 p.m. to a call of a stabbing in the area of Center Avenue and 25th Street, a sheriff's official said.

When they arrived, they found one man suffering from a stab wound, according to fire Capt. Brenton Roberts. The victim was conscious and breathing, Brenton said. He was treated at the scene and transferred to a local hospital for further treatment.

The extent of his injuries was not immediately available. There were no further details on the crime available by late Saturday.
