A poem I made awhile back...

Life’s a mystery,

The future is history,

It should still be cherished,

Because one of these days your soul shall perish,

That’s why you pass it on to your kids,

So all will know what you did,

The path you took will always be known,

Don’t you want people to know how you fared on your own?

You were successful,

You were a star,

You were better than that,

You were better than the rest,

You walked around the town with pride on your chest,

You weren’t ashamed,

All the other people were a pawn in your chess game.

You ran the world,

But how?

How did you do it?

That’s why you need history,

Because without history, Life, Life is a mystery.

No one likes failure, no one likes falling behind,
