LAPD Nabs Gang Members at Nightclub Video
STUDIO CITY -- 17 members of a South Los Angeles gang were arrested during an early morning raid at a the Platinum Club nightclub where they were attending a private party, authorities said.

Officers went to the 17300 block of Ventura Boulevard about 1:30 a.m. after learning about the party, according to Richard French of the Los Angeles Police Department.

Nine gang members of the Rollin' 60's gang were arrested for parole violations. Five others were arrested for probation violations and three for outstanding warrants, French said.

LAPD Sgt. Dan Horan says that the arrests were part of an ongoing anti-gang effort by police. "There is no safe haven (for gangs) anywhere in the city of Los Angeles," Horan told KTLA.

"We received information that members of a South Los Angeles gang were having a party, and officers positioned themselves and identified several members entering the club," according to French.

Gang unit officers from the 77th Division and North Hollywood Division entered the club and detected the "strong odor of marijuana" and arrested the gang members they identified as being in violation of restrictions, police said.

Not everyone inside the club were gang members. An estimated 400 people attended the party.

yea 6 times 10 was yesterday.I'm out here in vegas and the 60's out here was at the park like atleast 80 to 100 strong intill the police broke that shit up..

Are those 60's out there copy cats or do they have legit connections/history with L.A/California 60's? I knew a dude who lived out there for a minute who denied anything to do with L.A 60's, name jacking/fame riders or they have legit relation. Obviously it has to be one or the other.

naw the vegas 60's and L A 60's go at it from what I here from one of the first vegas 60's is bac like in 80's to early 90's they use to have thunder domes at the park with each other.I guess the vegas 60's wasnt trying to play the "youll the little homies role" feel me,but yea there probley the deepest blac gang in vegas and the most violent couple of years ago the feds hit em with indictments.

I briefly went to high school with a cat from the vegas 60s. From what I remember him telling me, they had legit connections with LA but established and maintained their own identity.

I think they had an exclusive Vegas 60s episode on that Gangland show.

maybe that one dude had a relationship with the la 60's but vegas 60's as a whole no.It's not like they beef they give love but you wont find them kiccing it in each other hood when there in town.Matter fact I know two brothers from L a 60's been out here for years but he dont kicc it with the vegas 60's and also in the pen I heard niggas from la 60 roll with the cali car..

To be clear, by legit connections I was referring to the origins of the vegas 60s, not an on going relationship between the vegas and LA sets.

I wouldn't say all that. It may appear to be obvious but take the Perris Maravilla for instance. There's no connection whatsoever with the East L.A Maravilla, but obviously something transpired or someone decided to take the name.

I have alot of homies that moved out there in Vegas, and from what I know there is a definite tension that goes on with California bangers that move over there. There is alot of black gangs out there also. I don't know if there out numbered or not, that's probably a common misconception, and usually the product of dudes with big egos and no knowledge of the area that are quick to claim such a thing.

And they do have a California car over there also.
