Hey Paid, is Okieville that small Cambodian area with the temples? I think we had someone on here talk about that area that is basically Loma Linda to me.

I'm not exactly sure where Okieville actually is, I'm not too familiar with it. But I know before the minorities moved in, it was primarily Whites that resided there...Now I believe it's a lot of Mexicans that live around the area. Here's a couple autobiography type shit that people wrote who grew up there which touches up on it...

I remember going to that in N out that in the 80's before they tore all them houses over there to build all the new stores, and there was a gang of cambodians over there. This was in the 80's.

Yeah so did I. I thought it was a diss at first but I even heard locals use the term.

Yeah a lot of locals still use that term. I still think plain old Fontana or even Fonta sounds better than the tucky bullshit. They even got Fontucky clothing on sale, better get em while it's hot LOL

"FONTUCKY" to me, I think everbody pretty much knows that it signifies the older days of the city, but typically just use it as a joke now. I did, however come across some fontana sur's who didnt like the term, and felt it was a diss. So i guess, to each his own.... I say it all the time.
