SB man gets 1,300 years in prison for crime spree
A San Bernardino man who went on a six-day crime spree in 2005 that included stabbing his girlfriend, two carjackings and two rapes was sentenced to more than 1,300 years in state prison.
Royce Wayne Timmons, 40, pleaded guilty to all 25 felony counts he faced during proceedings Monday in San Bernardino Superior Court, confirmed Deputy District Attorney Sharon Caldwell.
Timmons was sentenced before Judge Donna Gunnell Garza to 346 years plus 1,035 years to life in state prison, Caldwell said.
The crime spree began when the defendant stabbed his girlfriend on Jan. 23, 2005 at a Sunrise Lane home in San Bernardino. Despite being stabbed repeatedly in the neck and upper chest, the woman survived. But Timmons was just getting started.
* Jan. 23 - Timmons stopped a woman at a Del Taco restaurant on Highland Avenue in San Bernardino and forced his way into her car. Timmons drove her to several locations and raped her, police said.
* Jan. 24 - A woman dropping off videos at a Rialto shop reported that Timmons forced his way into her car. The woman fought back and freed herself and Timmons then drove off, police said.
* Jan. 26 - A woman at an employment agency on Hospitality Lane in San Bernardino said Timmons entered her office, where he struck her and fought with a co-worker. Timmons demanded money and took the keys to the woman's car.
* Jan. 27 - A clerk at a Circle K store in Rialto said Timmons jumped

the store counter and pushed her to the floor. He and another man, identified as Theodore Willie Jackson, took cigarettes and coins and forced her into their car. Timmons dropped off his friend and drove to another location, where he raped the woman.
* Jan. 28 - Timmons hit a woman at an ATM in Fontana, then forced her into her car and drove off. He took the woman's cash, and drove to a liquor store, where he bought drugs, according to police.
* Jan. 28 - A Colton car salesman on a test drive with two customers tried to stop Timmons from jumping into the truck at a gas station. Timmons reportedly motioned like he had a weapon, and drove off with one of the customers still in the vehicle. He demanded cash from the man and left him at a convenience store.
* Jan. 28 - Timmons was spotted in the vehicle and led police on a chase. He crashed the vehicle at Mount Vernon and 16th Street in San Bernardino.
The defendant has a criminal history spanning three decades, and he was facing his third strike with this case. He had been paroled from prison four months earlier, where he was serving time for carjacking.
Jackson pleaded guilty to robbery charges in August 2005 in connection with the case.

whats the poin of sentencing a man to 13000 years really? after a certain poin they should just say life with no parole.

i noticed that pretty much all the people he hurt/carjacked/etc were women, seems like he didn't have the guts to try anything against someone who could fight back. weak ass lame.
i agree that the number of years he sentenced to is crazy.

it may be rediculous but they do the sentencing depending on the many crimes he did. maybe its math i dont know. i know they wouldnt randomly sentence him to that many years for no reason
