I knew a dude who lived out there for a minute who denied anything to do with L.A 60's, name jacking/fame riders or they have legit relation. Obviously it has to be one or the other.

Ryd there is a historical connection between the two sets. It goes back to the 80s when the 60s began to expand the dope game under the Bennett brothers. That's when you had sixties sets pop up in Phoenix, Vegas and Denver. There was a lot of competition moving into north Vegas at the time between various sets. You even had a Westside contingent trying to establish some spots out there as well but the 60s had a better connection and could offer better prices so the homies ended up buying from some eses. The 60s secured a spot in the Buena Vista Springs apartments on Carey near Martin Luther King and just blew up from their connections.

At first it was all business with 60s, Coasters and Bounty Hunters all pushing Cali weight in Vegas and hitting licks but they got greedy and stupid and started hitting connected spots. Check cashing places and casinos. That was it, the crackdown came and Poppa from Bounty Hunter and Shortdog from the coast got stretched. I think it was the Golden Nugget downtown and another spot near the strip they hit but I can't remember for sure. I remember hearing they still had cash with the casino wraps on it when they got hit back in L.A.

There was a lot of action at UNLV as well. Big Mel from the projects balled on the National Championship squad that had Greg Anthony, Larry Johnson and Stacey Augmon from PDL. So really all that non-sense about Suge bringing banging into Vegas from L.A., is straight up bull. It was already crackin and he didn't have nothing to do with setting it off. Instead he played his part and fronted for the real money movers and weight pushers who by the time he came on the scene was locked and stretched.

The Gersons sprung up later on the westside, but when we used to got out there in the 80s, there wasn't nothing happening as far as they was concerned. I don't even think they was organized as of yet. I could be wrong but if they were, I wasn't aware of them. However Donna Street was there and they had some trues but I think they are all dead or on lock. As far as from our area, we got some action out there with some homies from the PJ's, the Heights, GSG and Siete putting in work in Vegas and Henderson.
