Suspect is arrested in connection with threat against staff members at Fohi - Fontanaheraldnews
Fohi received an anonymous bomb threat and a threat to harm staff members on the evening of Nov. 19.
The Fontana School Police Department conducted a thorough search of the campus at that time and found nothing, the release said.
Fontana School Police and the Fontana Police Department did not believe these threats to be credible; however, as an extra safety precaution, explosive-sniffing dogs were used during the night in order to ensure the campus was secure, and again nothing was found.
Classes resumed on Nov. 20 with a heightened police and school security presence.
In the meantime, after Fontana School Police conducted further investigations, the suspect was arrested on Nov. 20. No further information about the suspect was released.
All Fontana schools will be open and in session on Friday, Nov. 21.
"Our children’s safety and the safety of everyone at our schools remains our number one priority," said Olivier Wong Ah Sun, FUSD chief of staff. "Students who chose to make threats of this nature will be held accountable by the school district and the criminal legal system."
A suspect has been identified and arrested in connection with an alleged threat to harm some specific staff members at Fontana High School, according to a press release issued by the Fontana Unified School District.
