VICTORVILLE • A drive-by shooting left one man dead and another in critical condition late Wednesday night.


Six people were parked in a vehicle on the corner of C and 11th streets around 9 p.m. when a second vehicle with at least two people inside drove up, shot at them and then drove away, according to San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Homicide Detail detectives.


Both victims, of Adelanto, were shot in the chest. The 17-year-old was pronounced dead at the scene, and the 25-year-old was airlifted to Arrowhead Regional Medical Center in critical condition, according to officials.


Detectives were still interviewing witnesses and investigating the scene as of 8:30 a.m. Thursday.
