GLEN AVON - Four armed men forced their way into a Glen Avon home today, holding the occupants at gunpoint as they ransacked the residence, stealing jewelry and other valuables.
The home invasion robbery occurred around 7 a.m. at a house in the 8800 block of Chumash Court, just off Pedley Road, according to the Riverside County Sheriff's Department.
A woman told investigators that as she was leaving her residence, four suspects, all clad in black and carrying handguns, confronted her, identifying themselves as police officers and telling her to get back into the Advertisement
house.
According to the victim, once inside, the suspects demanded cash, jewelry, electronics and other items from her and the other occupants.
The robbers went from room to room, rifling through the victims' belongings and stealing valuables, according to sheriff's Sgt. John Sawyer.
The men fled the location in what one witness described as a black Ford sport utility vehicle, Sawyer said.
The suspects were described as 30 to 40 years old.
Anyone with information was urged to call the sheriff's Jurupa Valley Station at (951) 955-2600.

Re: HOME INVASION
Why do most home invasions take place in areas not dominated by gangs? Cause in the Hood, every other house has heat......
