ONTARIO POLICE FIND MAN SHOT TO DEATH
ONTARIO - A 22-year-old man was found shot to death late Friday in front of a coin-operated laundry in the 1000 block of East Fourth Street.
Ontario police responded to a shooting call about 11:30 p.m. in the area of Council Avenue and Fourth Street, according to a police news release.
Charles Kiko Koloa was found on the ground in the parking lot of Sudz Coin Laundry.
He had been shot in the head.
Paramedics declared him dead at the scene.
"The business was closed," police Detective Robert Freire said. "I don't know if he was walking in the area or just standing there."
"That area is just like any other part of the city," he said. "It's a little residential area."
Freire said the motive for the shooting was unknown.
Detectives had no suspect descriptions.
On March 20, three police officers shot and killed Anthony Serrano, 35, during a domestic-violence call in the 500 block of Sultana Avenue.
Police officers heard gunshots in the apartment and then saw a woman fleeing the the place.
Serrano appeared in the doorway and made a movement that caused police officers to fire at him, authorities said.
