Fontana man dies after being shot
A 20-year-old Fontana man was shot early Tuesday morning and succumbed to his wounds hours later, police said.

Lorenzo Coleman was standing by a driveway entrance to an apartment complex in the 2600 block of West Second Street. Someone approached Coleman and shot him, police said.

Coleman was taken to Arrowhead Regional Medical Center in Colton, where he died.

Lt. Scott Paterson, a police spokesman, said he did not know how many times Coleman was shot or what time he died.

The motive for the slaying remains under investigation, Paterson said.
