Three Elderly Women Murdered in Sb?
SAN BERNARDINO (CBSLA.com) — Detectives are searching for a possible link in the murders of three elderly San Bernardino women dating back to 2005.
On Nov. 14, 2012, the body of 76-year-old Mary Elizabeth Blaskey was found at her ransacked residence on the 3000 block of Fremontia Drive.
The victim’s son, Gunner, still can’t process what happened.
“Someone that beautiful and wonderful was taken from us. That’s why I’m still numb about it,” he said.
Authorities believe that whoever killed Blaskey could have also taken the lives of two other women in the area.
Josephine Kelley, 90, was found dead in her home in Sept. 2005.
86-year-old Wanda Lee Paulin was also killed at her residence in Jan. 2011.
All of the victims were home alone when a suspect or suspects forced their way in, committed some kind of burglary and then killed the women.
Although the murders are similar in nature, police said there is no physical evidence that connects them.
On Monday, officials are expected to announce a $10,000 reward in each case for information leading to a suspect’s arrest.
Blaskey’s son hopes the reward will help stop the violence in San Bernardino.
“It just shows where we’re at these days. There are evil people out there,” he said.
