Three men attempt to carjack a vehicle in Fontana, but victim fights back and attackers are forced to flee

Three men attempted to carjack a vehicle in Fontana, but their victim fought back and forced the attackers to flee, according to the Fontana Police Department.

The incident took place on Aug. 18 at about 8 p.m., when the 30-year-old male victim was driving in a vehicle while accompanied by a 30-year-old woman in the passenger seat.

While the victims were waiting at the intersection of Alder Avenue and Arrow Boulevard, three men pulled up alongside them in a newer model Chevy Camaro with tinted windows.

The three suspects got out of their car and began assaulting the male victim. The suspects attempted to pull the victim from his vehicle, but the man fought back. During the assault, the attackers were yelling out a local gang name.

The three suspects, described as being in their early 20s, got back into their Chevy and fled north of Alder. Their vehicle also had after market HID blue colored headlights.
