Another Bloody Month in Berdoo 2 Shot and Killed Baseline/Sepulveda EASTSIDE
SAN BERNARDINO -- Dozens of yellow evidence markers littered the street and floor of a tire shop Thursday where two men -- an employee and customer -- were gunned down.
With help from an involved citizen who followed the suspects' getaway vehicle, San Bernardino Police officers were able to arrest three men in connection with the deadly shooting, said Lt. Paul Williams of the San Bernardino Police Department.
The unidentified tire shop employee and customer are the 32nd and 33rd persons killed in city this year putting it on track to surpass its bloodiest year, 2005, with 58 homicides.
Police dispatchers began receiving numerous 911 calls from the area of Baseline Road and Sepulveda Avenue reporting multiple shots

Investigators learned two masked men entered one of the repair bays armed with firearms and began shooting at the victims.
"They didn't say anything to them, they just started firing," Williams stated.
The masked men then jumped into an awaiting silver vehicle and left the scene.
A witness got into his vehicle and followed the fleeing suspect vehicle while relaying information to police dispatchers, Williams said.
That information led to the arrest of three men in the area of 21st Street and Wall Avenue.
"The police and citizens of San Bernardino are grateful for what that person did in getting these people off the street," Williams said.
A motive for the shooting was not immediately released.
A man at the scene who knew the slain employee but did not want to be identified said the victim was a soft-spoken man who always enjoyed a good joke.
"He was a happy man always laughing and joking about everything," the man said.
A woman at the scene confirmed the employee was her brother but declined to give any more information.
Investigators and one of the victim's family members had to contend with a rowdy crowd who believed one of the men killed was their family member.
Several women tried to run into the crime scene and were stopped by officers.
After officials told the people there, which at one point swelled to a loud group of about 30 spectators, the second victim was not their family member they refused to believe officers.
"They're lying!" one woman screamed as another asked to see the body so she could make sure.
The crowd eventually dispersed.
Several people in the area commented on the crime saying it was senseless. One business owner said he was afraid of having such a terrible crime take place so close.
The case is still under investigation. Anyone with information is asked to contact the San Bernardino Police department at 909 386-7272.

Number 38 so far, not 33 as the Sun is falsely reporting. And 2005 was NOT the "bloodiest" year, it was the worst year of last decade, but far from being the worst in the cities history. 2005 had 64, while in 1992/1993 (worst years on record) there were 96 and 120 homicides, respectively. But of course the city didn't report those numbers officially.
Hoping and praying the violence stops. If people only knew the reality of things.....crazy.

And that little area has been hot this year. Anything east of Arrowhead to Waterman has been a killing zone. Probably like half of the murders in the city this year have taken place in that little 8 to 10 block area. Most of it just random violence.
