Fontana teenager shot to death on Easter Sunday

Man this one kind of hit a little closer to home.
I didn't know the kid personally but I knew who he was and seen him around a lot.
RIP.
A Fontana teenager was shot to death on Easter Sunday, March 27, according to the San Bernardino County Sheriff Coroner's Division.
At 8:03 p.m., a report of shots fired was received by Fontana Police Department Dispatch.

Law enforcement and paramedics arrived at the scene in the 8500 block of Kaiser Avenue in Fontana to find 17-year-old Victor Anthony Perez injured due to an apparent gunshot wound.
Perez was transported by ambulance to Kaiser Foundation Hospital, Fontana, where he was pronounced dead in the emergency room at 10:22 p.m.
The incident is under investigation by the Fontana P.D.'s Homicide Unit.
This was the second homicide reported within the city limits of Fontana this year.

A 22-year-old man has been arrested for allegedly killing a teenager during an incident which occurred in Fontana nearly one year ago, according to the Fontana Police Department.
The shooting death, which was believed to be gang-related, took place in the 8500 block of Kaiser Avenue on Easter Sunday, March 27, 2016.

Detectives have been working on the investigation for the past year and developed leads pointing to Gabriel Reyes being involved in the homicide, police said.

Reyes was taken into custody on Feb. 28 at his residence in the 16200 block of Arrow Boulevard.

Reyes, who is believed to be an active gang member, was booked at West Valley Detention Center on a homicide charge. He is accused of killing 17-year-old Victor Anthony Perez.
