Suspect in Adelanto boy killing arrested

A suspect was arrested in St. Louis on Thursday for the murder of an Adelanto boy last month, making it the second time in as many days that a murder suspect was apprenhened.

A third man, wanted for questioning in another murder case, was also arrested Thursday, officials said.

Leroy Tyus, 16, was arrested Wednesday on suspicion of killing Peter Roth on May 20 on Seventh Street in Victorville. By Thursday morning, two other men were in custody,

one on suspicion of the murder of Adrian Washington, 17, in Adelanto on June 24 and the other for questioning about the murder of Heidi Dykes, 39, of Adelanto on June 8, 2005.

DeAnthony Wilson, 17, said to be a member of the Fifth Street Home Town Crips of San Bernardino, was arrested on suspicion of the murder of Washington, who was shot outside his home during his birthday party.

Investigators on Thursday said they followed several leads to identify and locate Wilson in the St. Louis area. Members of the U.S. Marshals Service apprehended Wilson, who also goes by the monikers âLil Pit and âLil George.

Wilson was caught about 12:10 a.m. Thursday. He is in the U.S. Marshal custody and is awaiting extradition back to California.
