That neighborhood isn't technically Harborside. It's a separate neighborhood that was called Fruitdale. Harborside is supposed to run from Palomar to LST. I-5 to 5th (before 1-5, it ran to the bay)... I think CV government took it over from county in the 1960's or 1970's. That's why that area has a neighborhood name... like Castle Park and Otay do too. They were all county at one time until CV took them over.

La Punta...that land has been owned by the saltworks for some time. The saltworks has a lot of history wih raza. A lot of paisas and 1st generations worked at that plant in the early 1900's. Lot of rich history in SoBay that is getting lost in time.
