Lakers Forward Matt Barnes Arrested in Manhattan Beach

MANHATTAN BEACH, Calif. (KTLA) -- Police arrested Lakers forward Matt Barnes Monday night in Manhattan Beach on a traffic warrant and on suspicion of threatening an officer, according to officials.
Barnes was walking just before 8:40 p.m in the 100 block of Manhattan Beach Boulevard when a police officer approached him because the officer was aware that Barnes had an outstanding misdemeanor traffic warrant, said Lt. Steve Tobias of the city's police department.
The officer took Barnes into custody for the warrant. Barnes also allegedly threatened the officer during the exchange.
Tobias would not provide specific details about the alleged threat.
