rancho is a nice city because of the communities that were incorporated into it when the city was founded..before that it was unincorporated area like rubidoux etc...

alta loma...etiwanda were nice and then cucamonga was the middle/lower class area and varrio...

in 77 the city was started and they merged all three and formed rancho cucamonga...if cucamonga was its own city it wuld be similar to ontario...maybe a bit nicer but not a huge change...

ive heard of RCPD being "crooked"...mainly to the people who live in CKS varrio

Why is Sur rap so bad?

NOT ALL ARE HOMIE JUST MOST,THAT N EVERYONE THINK THEY CAN RAP NOW A DAYS.

99.9% of it is. LOL. I think that when you got these dudes mixing rapping with commercialized Sur stuff it gets watered down to the point of corniness.

I should mention that "Chicano" rap was not included in what I said. A large majority of SUR rap however is indeed trash. Generic beats, extremely mediocre lyrics, commercialized mannerisms and the same old tired played out shit as always. Who can really argue against that? The main Sur rap you see circulating through the underground sur rap scene, youtube, etc...all shows what I'm talking about. That's not to say that ALL of the Sur rappers are in that category because there is a few who stand out among the bad apples. Also what may be "good" to someone won't be good to someone else.

Brown side is one of the very very few Sur rap artist that fit into the "stand out" category in my opinion. Among a few more. They were a mixture of actual notable rap. good production, good lyrics.

You see why this fact applies to all? I don't discriminate when it comes to music, good music is good music, and to me Brown side was good. I think your forgetting that they emerged in the early and mid 90's through Eazy E, the man had an eye for real talent to say the least. They had a distinct sound about them that made them stand out in a time when there was very few chicano cats even attempting to stand out. You can't compare the old Brownside style to this new crap out there. Different decades different sound. Brownside had above par production, Most of them were good lyrically.

I've actually listened to alot more than a few sur rapppers to base my opinion on it. And I cant deny that most of it is terrible. They put no thought into it, its always about west coast this, cali that, smoke this, hit the switches on this, cortez and bald heads. LOL. Same old tired shit channelized through some corny ass nintendo sounding played out funk based beat.
