See but the main difference between these dudes and the vast majority out there is they learned and know how to separate themselves from the played out sur theme. These dudes are far more lyrical and have quality in there music. Both in production and thought process. They stand out above the rest of the mediocrity. I don't catergorize these dudes as Sur rap but as Chicano rap. There's a big difference to me. Sur rap= bundled up gangster commercialization. Chicano rap=lreal production and lyrics, actual thought process involved. Not necessarily glorifying Surenos.

some of these vatos are sur rappers. like conejo shadow lil one and bugsy. some i dont think consider themselves chicano rappers. even though they maybe chicano, like psycho realm cypress hill sick symphonies, omar cruz, i think they consider themselves just rappers or even "underground rapers". i dont know why people would have to separate chicano rappers from black rappers. most of it is just that gangster rap. besides, alot of shit on youtube is bullshit. the MAJOR difference between these "sur" rappers and the good "chicano rap artists" are that the goods ones have actual record deals and arent releasing shit on there own. youll usually find the good ones at circuit city or best buy, not just the swap meet. besides, rap in general really sucks nowadays.

thats my point though, they dont seperate themselves from the "played out sur theme". conejo lil one shadow brownside, they rep the sur in their music, its just that like you said. they do have better lyrical skills, so its not every other word out their mouths like the crappier ones. conejo especially. and hes the best one out of all of them.

some of their older shit does...but that doesnt matter, im just saying, i dont think it should be catagorized as sur rap or chicano rap or black rap, like ryda said, good music is good music, it jst so happens that alot of them fake rappers like gangster rap, so they ttry to rap what they know, whether they suck and they dont know it or not... lol. but im sure their are lame wannabe rappers from every where the suck ass.

Good looking out homie. Naw, he's not from WSB, but he rests right across the street from their varrio, in that cemetary...Me and my homies get kicked out nearly everytime for drinking over there. Some of the cool gardeners just tell us to hide it behind the trees and away from the manager, and were good.
