SAN BERNARDINO: Officer’s windshield shattered by gunfire

A San Bernardino police officer was shot at early Friday morning, Aug. 2, as he was driving through San Bernardino.
The officer was driving his patrol car in the 2300 block of West Rialto Avenue shortly after midnight.
The officer heard a gunshot and simultaneously his windshield shattered, San Bernardino police officials said.
The officer suffered a minor injury to his left arm caused by the shattered glass, but didn’t seek any medical attention.
Authorities have no suspects in the shooting and have not said if it was related to any other attacks on officers.
