Man killed on San Bernardino sidewalk is identified

SAN BERNARDINO >> The man shot and killed on a San Bernardino sidewalk Monday afternoon has been identified as Christopher Anthony Martinez, 29, San Bernardino County Coroner's officials said.
Martinez, a San Bernardino resident, was standing on the sidewalk in the 1500 block of Mountain View Avenue around 3:30 p.m. when a car drove up and began firing, striking and killing him, according to San Bernardino police. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
Investigators have released few details in the fatal shooting, and it's unclear if anyone has been arrested as of Tuesday morning.
