Man with "Fontana" tattoo commits robbery, according to police

A man with a tattoo of the word “Fontana” on the left side of his neck is being sought for allegedly committing a robbery on July 6, according to the Fontana Police Department.

The incident occurred at 10:38 p.m. at a 7-11 gas station in the 16000 block of Slover Avenue, when three victims drove up and parked in front of the business.

The suspect pulled in behind the victims and blocked their vehicle in with his vehicle, which was described as a dark green mid-sized SUV. The suspect got out of his SUV and walked up to the victims while they were still seated in their vehicle, asking them if they are from Fontana.

The victims all replied “No,” and then the suspect demanded money while revealing what appeared to be a sawed-off shotgun or long rifle. The victims only saw the butt stock of the gun.

Only one victim actually had money on his person, and so the suspect took the money from the victim and ran back to his SUV.

The suspect, believed to be between 20 and 30 years old, exited onto Citrus Avenue and then fled westbound onto Slover Avenu
