There was a restaurant in the parking lot with a windmill that was open for a long time after the mall ended up closing.

This sounded like a restaurant I would enjoy taking the family to...it reminds me of griswolds in redlands...off of Ford...if you've ever been their or haven't...that place was like Santa's village....it was a buffet style restaurant w/ a gift shop & bakery....man that place was cool as ice....

Never went to Griswold's in Redlands, I remember the one in Claremont though (where Buca di Beppo is now). Ever check out the Mill Creek Cattle Company in Mentone? I heard they have good BBQ.

Ah, I see. That answers some of those previous questions we've had on here about ESC. It was a generation thing with different gangs that came up throughout the years. Thanks for clearing that up. Do you know the name of some of the older ESC gangs? And how far back does ESC really go?

rune im sure that depends on who u ask. CCC isn't in The Zoo anymore. They're down the street though in the VG'z. And NSC hood is right next to CCC. CCC used to go to Colton High before they started going to Rialto High. Alot of them know each other. Some NSC's will hate them while others actually have Bizz with them. BUt as far as all out wars...that has NEVER been an issue. There is/was a level of respect much like Casablanca hispanics and blacks. CCC has never been one of those hoods you start shit with w/o serious repurcussions. I think the whole IxE knows that

thats not to say there haven't been scuffles here and there though. Besides that most of CCC activity is in other cities anyway. The part of colton that was their hood was a very small corner of the city. Literally cross the street and you'd be in SB. Go to the corner and you'd be in Rialto.

i'll let someone from ccc give specifics but i know they have had beef in the past with westside hoods like projects and delman heights. They align themselves with the East Side of SB (PPHG).

The Colton Auction/swap meet is now the abandoned Ford Dealership, Frontier town is now a vacant lot where some of the local homeless people set up shop under a shade tree. Most of the development around valley blvd. was stopped by the EPA because of a native sand dehli fly which is endangered and only lives in the Colton Sand dunes. so that put a stop to the superblock mall/shopping center they were trying to build.

I don't know when they started to but I know Colton city crips claim the west side of colton. I asked one of the homies why and he said it if you look at the bus that has always passed thru their hood it says west colton or used to I don't know if it still does. The dude I got that info from is neck deep in ccc politics so his word is what it is. There has never been a west colton hispanic gang tho. And I know another area that could be considered West Colton was at one time all fields up until 1989 it was all sand. I used to walk clear from mill and rancho to randall and pepper with nothing but centipedes and stank bugs in the way. And it was literally sand I don't know if it used to be a body of water or something but we'd "ski" down the sand dunes as kids shit was fun

Speaking of them i think they are the only gang out here in the I.E. who did it like mexicans/surenos do it, by naming their gang after the city they are in. I could be wrong though, let me think... what other black gang out here did that?

None I can think of, good observation. Now that I think about it, I cant think of any blacc gangs that have done that period. That's sayin a lot tho, im sure somebody else has, I cnt think of a name tho off top. I did have my 1st blunt of the day tho in my defense lol.
